Back to Blogging

It's been WAY too long..... Yes!

My mind has been occupied, and yet I have been at a loss for words.
Frankly, what I was feeling didn't deserve to be published!!  Tough stuff!

In the past week I have allowed  more time for other things I love, including photography, reading and something new..... Halle and I have taken up knitting.  While blogging is a very favorite thing, I have enjoyed the much needed break, as my mind rested and I processed so much recent emotion.

And so now I'm back and looking forward to sharing!!  Photos forthcoming!

Retreat

Last weekend I had the blessing of going to the women's retreat our church hosted.  It was an opportunity to become better acquainted with some new friends.  The theme was "Radiance" from Psalm 34:5  "Those who look to the Lord are radiant; their faces are never covered in shame."  When we chose to spend time with the Lord, He changes us.  In addition to being challenged, I had the joy of experiencing fall and winter..... both in the same weekend.

Leslie J. Cornett

"I get by with a little help from my  friends."

sharpens the countenance
of his friend.

Our dear friend Les left us for a better place on
Sunday, November 2, 2008.

While we will forever miss him, we are so very thankful for the
imprint his life left on us.  We are better beings, better friends, better
followers of Christ because of who Les was.

Thank you friend

A Motor Head's Dream

Several weeks ago we went to a fabulous car show, featuring only the oldies.  Our Dad's would have loved it.  Do you know how many people love old cars?  Let's just say there was a lot of interest that day, as the owners of these well loved (expensive) vehicles gladly showed their stuff.  We had a great time gawking like all the rest.  Bill and his boys were in their element for sure, and they weren't alone.  And Halle and I were happy to go along for the ride.

As always, there's a little something for everyone here in CA!

Here's a scary sight - not sure I'm ready for this, but doesn't she look cute behind the wheel?

Waiting for burgers at the local joint.
